Subject: GWC and other Clans

Thought I'd weigh in on this topic.

I'm not crazy about another N. American clan. I leaves us open to the
obvious question why haven't they contacted the NY clan over the past three
years. We already have an American clan in NY. Another one doesn't offer much
exploration of another gargoyle culture. Plys, we still need to
explain how Goliath and co. didn't meet the NO clan on their visit.

Here's how I see the breakdown of clans

Manhattan/Clones - Can't really consider the clones a separate clan.
They are technically the same gargoyles and they guard the same protectorate.

Caledonian

Guatemala

Ishimura

New Olympus

*China - Pretty much assumed both from our planning for the past two
seasons. One question: Are we still going with the forced pairing for Lex.

Here are some of my suggestions:

Seville clan from Spain. Five members; 4 adults and one hatchling.
Seville is a city of cathedral, with plenty of places to hide.

India clan, probably from Banares or somewhere in the Indus valley. I
was thinking about the Hindu temples and carvings.

S. American clan, probably on the Amazon side of the Andes. It's a
remote location, with mountains and jungles it could be interesting.

Steppes clan, an all female clan. I was thinking of stories about
Harpies Sirens, valkyries and thought it might be interesting for an all
female clan. Somewhere in central Asia.

Morocco clan, just an idea of a west African clan and Morocco came to
mind.

My main thing is that we have a whole world to play with. I'd like to
see as much variety as possible.

I like the idea of a Persian clan. Some Mid East cultures had
sphinxes. Maybe some remnants of the Egyptian clan survived there.

On the whole Egyptian clan business. They died out, but it was more a
gradual decline. Meryt and Harthoth are the only native Egyptian gargoyles at
this time.
